NO. 939 /RESOLUTION NO. 303-98 <br /> PLACE: Councilroom <br /> TIME: 9:00 a.m. <br /> Chair and Members <br /> Hawaii County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawaii 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Public Works and Parks, to which was referred Communication No. 939, <br /> and attached Resolution No. 303-98, reports as follows: <br /> The purpose of Resolution No. 303-98 is to authorize the abandonment and quitclaim of the County <br /> road easement at Honaunau, South Kona, Island of Hawaii, to Kamehameha Schools Bernice Pauahi <br /> bishop Estate, Tax Map Key No. (3) 8-4-O1 1. <br /> Communication No. 939 is from Gerald Takase, Deputy Corporafion Counsel, dated July 28, ] 997, <br /> transmitting Resolution No. 303-98 for the Council's review and consideration. <br /> Your Committee expressed concern over the title of the resolution, which refers to the quitclaim <br /> of the County's road easement. However, further examination learned that the road is a right-of= <br /> way and owned in fee simple.
