I am
aware that it is very costly for the county to continue this program. However, the costs for
not having marijuana enforcement programs would greatly exceed dollars or cents. It has
been documented that marijuana growers have threaten people, injured land owners, and
there have even been instances where people are killed over marijuana disputes.

I am also concerned about the message we would be sending our children if we don't
accept Federal money to address the drug problem on our island. I understand that the
police department will continue to fight this problem. I believe that in order for them to do
this, they will need all the help and resources that they can get. Now is your chance to
make federal funds available to them so they can be as effective as possible in fighting our
drug problem.

Sincerely,

Cami Yost
Big Island Resident

Tomas.
