Many of the problems of this
community are related to marijuana growing, use and distribution.
It has been a real concern for many families for years.
The eradication program has been controversial from the onset
and perhaps not the solution, however, it sure helps. Cutting
such a program would again put the County of Hawaii higher on
the list of "favored" by the growers of marijuana.
Reinforcing an idea by education and recognition of a serious
problem and being able to do something about it, in this case
enforcement, education programs and eradication, can only be
good for this county and the State of Hawaii.

Very sincerely yours,

Edwin Castillo, Jr.
Chairman
EC:ljk

Poe No.CJr:~

W.
