I am a life long resident of Hilo and

the President of the Hawaii Tropical Flower Council, a statewide

organization of 600 members composed of tropical flower growers and

shippers. On behalf of the Tropical Flower Council, I urge your support for
Resolutt o f ~ ~ Communication Mwhich will accept federal funds for

the marijuana eradication and drug education programs.

The products of illegal marijuana cultivation inadvertedly finds its way
into our schools and general public. This is one of the basic ills of our

society. We need to have it stopped. Further, illegal cultivation also occurs

on some of our private lands. It is unthinkable and unacceptable that these
people would knowingly do these things. I will not burden you with obvious

details but leave you with our request to please accept the federal funds.

Thank you.

Go-m No. 9 0. z~
Flle Ne.
