J <br />Date: August 20, 2008 <br />Subject: A Resolution Encouraging the Administration to Research the Application <br />Process to Obtain Funding of an Energy Worker-Related Training Program, as <br />Established Through the Green Jobs Act 2007. <br />Attached for your consideration is a resolution encouraging the administration to research the <br />application process to get funding for an energy efficiency and renewable energy worker training <br />program, as established by the Green Jobs Act 2007. <br />In particular, the resolution also requests that the administration prepare a list of `green-collar' <br />jobs that may be needed for Hawaii County to be energy self-sustainable as per the Hawaii <br />Clean Energy Initiative, by Mazch 1, 2009. - <br />Please place this matter before the appropriate committee to meet on September 9, 2008. <br />PH/kf <br />Att. <br /> <br /> <br />Comm.
