Alternatives that were considered in lieu of the proposed changes: (Have <br />technological changes been considered?j <br />We already have Public Works assisting the department with the major outdoor <br />maintenance once a week. Creation of another part-time position for HOVE was <br />not realistic due to the minimal services we needed. <br />6. Was reallocation or reclassification budgeted and if not, why were manpower needs <br />not planned through budgetary process? <br />While additional hours were budgeted, a regular increase of 10 hours for the 52 <br />weeks was not. In addition, while the increase in hours will result in creating another <br />Unit 1 position with benefits, we envision increasing staff and services, that will require <br />more hours. The medical and retirement benefits provided will help us retain staff. <br />7.
