REQUEST: <br />Department is requesting an additional $800,000 appropriation for the planning and design phase of the new <br />South Kona Police Station. <br />B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED): <br />It is projected that the current appropriation of $400,000 for the planning and design phase of the new <br />South Kona Police Station maybe insufficient for the planning and design phase of the project and an <br />additional $800,000 may be needed based on recent developments regarding the vision of the new <br />station, which include the addition of an indoor firing range and increasing the overall size of the station <br />to better equip the Department in meeting the needs of an expanding community. <br />Funding is available from the recent Bond Ordinance 0$~%oG. <br />See attached Project Data/Financial Impact'Statement. <br />SIGNED: DATE: A~~ 2 5 2~~ <br />Department He d <br />
