[L 2001, c 272, ~ 3; am L 2009, c 95, ~5; <br />10 am L 2006, c 162 ~5] <br />11 (e) Each electric utility company that sells <br />12 electricity for consumption in the State shall decouple <br />13 compensation rates paid for renewable energy sources to <br />14 independent power producers from the avoided costs of non- <br />15 renewable sources such as oil or other non-renewables. <br />16 SECTION 3. Statutory material to be repealed is bracketed <br />17 and stricken. New statutory material is underscored. <br />18 <br />19 SECTION 4.
