No. 1357 <br /> PLACE: Sheraton Keauhou Bay Resort & Hotel <br /> 78-128 `Ehukai Street <br /> Kailua-Kona, Hawaii <br /> TIME: 9:30 a.m. <br /> <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawaii County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawaii 96720 <br /> <br /> Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Communication No. 1357, transmitted by <br /> Mayor Harry Kim, dated July 17, 2008, nominates Ms. Diane Gentry of Council District 5 to the County of <br /> Hawaii Board of Ethics. <br /> <br /> Ms. Gentry is a lifetime resident of Hawaii and was employed by the County Council as a Legislative. <br /> Assistant. Ms. Gentry was employed as a Customer Service Agent with Aloha Airlines. She recently served <br /> as a member on the County of Hawaii Board of Appeals, Puna Traffic Safety, South Hilo Traffic Safety, and <br /> served as secretary for the Hui Malama Ola Na Oiwi. Ms. Gentry states that she is not affiliated with any <br /> political party. If confirmed, Ms. Gentry will replace Mr. Wayne Joseph's vacancy, whose term will expire <br /> on December 31, 2009. <br /> <br /> Ms. Renee Schoen of the Corporation Counsel Office recommended support for the nomination of <br /> Ms. Gentry.
