REPORT OF THE <br /> COMMITTEE ON PLANNING <br /> DATE: November 17, 1998 Re: C-1065 <br /> PLACE: Councilroom <br /> TIME: 3:00 p.m. <br /> Chair and Members <br /> Hawaii County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawaii 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Planning, to which was referred Communication No. 1065, transmitted by <br /> Mayor Stephen K. Yamashiro, dated November 2, 1998, reports as follows: <br /> Communication No. 1065 recommends the appointment of the following individuals to the <br /> Hawaii County Kailua Villagc Design Commission to serve terms ending on December 31, <br /> 2001: <br /> Mr. Ronald M. Aronson of Kona, a 28-year resident of Hawaii, will replace Stephen <br /> Bobko-Hellenaar. He has been the President of the Kona Coast Realty Corporation since <br /> 1996, and was Sr. Vicc-President of Clark Realty Corporation from 1984 to 1996. <br /> Mr. Paul M. Block, an eight-year resident of Hawaii, will replace Leimana DaMate. He <br /> has been aself-employed architect since 1992. <br /> Mr. Robert D. Triantos, a 30-year resident of Hawaii, has been an attorney with <br /> Carlsmith, Ball, Wichman, Case and Ichiki since 1979. He currently serves on the Kailua <br /> Village Design Commission and is being appointed to another term. <br /> Pursuant to Article 7, Chapter 25 of the Hawaii County Code, the mayor shall appoint members <br /> to the commission to be confirmed by the Council, as prescribed in Section 25-7-2 of the Hawaii <br /> County Code. <br /> Mr. Rudy Legaspi mentioned that he had notified the nominees of today's meeting, but none of <br /> them were present today. <br /> Your Committee on Planning recommends the approval of the appointments of Mr. Ronald M. <br /> Aronson, Mr. Paul M. Block and Mr. Robert D.
