COUNTY OF HAWAII <br />STATE OF HAWAII <br />RESOLUTION NO. '744 () fi; <br />A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br />AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDITING SAME TO <br />A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) <br />WHEREAS, the Police Department's Peer Support Unit is a group of peers trained in <br />providing support and assistance for work-related problems; and <br />WHEREAS, the Critical Incident Support Unit consists of Peer Support Unit members <br />who have received training in counseling and in providing emotional and moral support to law <br />enforcement officers or emergency services personnel who have been involved in emotionally <br />traumatic incidents by reason of their employment and are certified and approved by the Police <br />Chief to respond to critical incidents for the purpose of debriefing and defusing; and <br />WHEREAS, the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation, Inc. (ICISF) is <br />holding a training conference on Oahu on September 25-28, 2008; and <br />WHEREAS, funds are needed to send four officers who are members of the Peer <br />Support Unit and the Critical Incident Support Unit to attend this conference to receive <br />specialized training and to get certified; and <br />WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 3 will be appropriated to <br />the Police Department to help covers expenses for accommodations, car rental and per diem; <br />now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that <br />the following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below: <br />FUND: General <br />AMOUNT OF <br />APPROPRIATION: $2,300 <br />OUT AND FROM: <br />010.101.5101.91 Clerk-Council SVC -Contingency Relief $2,300 <br />CREDITED TO: <br />010.201.5203.02 Police Department $2,300 <br />Police Adm Div - OCE <br />(ICISF Training Conference) <br />
