REQUEST: <br />An Ordinance authorizing the Mayor to enter into an intergovernmental agreement for a State Water <br />Pollution Control Revolving Fund Loan for Wastewater improvement projects and authorizing the issuance of <br />$1,000,000 General Obligation Bonds of the County of Hawaii for the purpose of financing the following <br />project: <br />Komohana Heights LCC Replacement $1,000,000 <br />B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED): <br />The Komohana Heights LCC Replacement project was initially approved by the State Department of Health <br />for a State Revolving Fund loan in the amount of $2,000,000 which was authorized by the County Council <br />under Ordinance 03-155. The estimated construction costs and requested State Revolving Funds for this <br />project is $3,000,000. Due to the cancellation of another project, the Department of Health was able to shift <br />an additional $1,000,000 to the Komohana Heights project, bringing the approved funding level to <br />$3,000,000.
