Single-family dwelling - A building containing only one dwelling unit. <br />Special Management Area -The land extending inland from the shoreline as delineated on the <br />maps filed with the Planning Commission as of June 8, 1977, or as amended pursuant to Section <br />9-21. <br />Special Permit -Permit issued by the County that allows an unusual and reasonable use of land <br />situated within the Agricultural or Rural District, that would promote the effectiveness and <br />objectives of Chapter 205, Hawaii Revised Statutes, as amended. <br />Strategies -Specific ways for goals to be reached. The strategies then need a sequence of action <br />steps to be carried out. <br />Subdivision Code -Chapter 23 of the Hawaii County Code. The County Code for all "subdivided <br />land," which consists of improved or unimproved land(s) divided into two or more lots, parcels, <br />sites, or other divisions of land for the purpose, whether immediate or future, of sale, lease, rental, <br />transfer of title to or interest in, any or all such parcels. <br />Vision -What the community sees as the ideal conditions for its future. <br />vi <br />
