COUNTY OF HAWAII <br />STATE OF HAWAII <br />RESOLUTION NO. '756 Q8 <br />A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br />AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br />DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S). <br />WHEREAS, to honor all veterans in Hawaii County, the Hawaii Island Veterans <br />Memorial, Inc. is sponsoring a Veterans' Memorial Parade on November 8, 2008 in Hilo, <br />Hawaii; and <br />WHEREAS, participants in the event will consist of veterans organizations and <br />individuals from Hawaii County representing various branches of the United States Armed <br />Forces who bravely served our country; and <br />WHEREAS, financial assistance has been requested by the Hawaii Island Veterans <br />Memorial, Inc. for the November 8, 2008 Veterans' Memorial parade, which funding request has <br />been approved by the Department of Parks and Recreation; and <br />WHEREAS, the Hawaii Island Veterans Memorial, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) tax exempt non- <br />profit organization consisting of veterans organizations representing a broad spectrum of the <br />Hawaii County community and will act as fiscal sponsor to the Veterans' Day Parade; and <br />WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council Districts I will be appropriated to <br />the Department of Parks and Recreation, to provide financial assistance to Hawaii Island <br />Veterans Memorial, Inc. for the Annual Veterans' Day Parade; now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII, that the <br />following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below: <br />FUND: <br />AMOUNT OF <br />APPROPRIATION <br />OUT AND FROM: <br />General <br />$1,000 <br />010.101.5101.91 Clerk-Council SVC $1,000 <br />Contingency Relief <br />
