COUNTY OF HAWAII <br />STATE OF HAWAII <br />RESOLUTION NO. ~~i7 ®~ <br />A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br />AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDITING SAME TO <br />A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) <br />WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation has requested funds for the <br />Halloween event to be held on October 31, 2008, at the Ho`olulu Complex, Butler Building; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, youngsters will have a safe place to go on Halloween where they can <br />receive trick-or-treat goodie bags and participate in carnival games, contests, keiki ID, picture <br />taking, face painting, haunted house, and the pumpkin patch; and <br />WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii will be working in partnership with the Hilo <br />Jaycees, Hilo High School Key Club, and Waiakea High School Key Club; and <br />WHEREAS, funds are also needed for the 16`h Annual Biggest Easter Egg Hunt, <br />which will take place on Friday, April 10, 2009, at the Francis F.C. Wong Stadium; and <br />WHEREAS, this Easter event will consist of picture taking with the Easter Bunny, <br />face painting, arts and crafts projects, ice cream and milk drinking contests, balloon crafts, <br />keiki ID, and the Biggest Easter Egg Hunt, which will include 15,000 egg prizes and candy- <br />filled plastic eggs; and <br />WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii will be working in partnership with the Hilo <br />Jaycees, Hilo High School Key Club, Waiakea High School Key Club, and Meadow Gold <br />Dairies, Inc.; and <br />WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 2 will be appropriated <br />to the Department of Parks and Recreation to be used towards the Halloween event and the <br />16`h Annual Biggest Easter Egg Hunt; now, therefore, <br />
