CHAPTER3 <br />CLIMATE ZONES <br />SECTION 301 <br />CLIMATE ZONES <br />301.1 General. <br />Climate zones from Figure 301.1 or Table 301.1 shall be used in determining the applicable <br />requirements from Chapters 4 and 5 . Locations not in Table 30I. I (outside the US) shall be <br />assigned a climate zone based on Section 301.3 . <br />301.2 Warm humid counties. <br />Warm humid counties are listed in Table 301.2 . <br />301.3 International climate zones. <br />The climate zone for any location outside the United States shall be determined by applying <br />Table 30I.3f 1) and then Table 301.3(2) . <br />301.3.1 Warm humid criteria. <br />"Warm humid" locations shall be defined as locations where either of the <br />following conditions occurs: <br />I . 67 ° F (19.4 ° C) or higher wet-bulb temperature for 3,000 or more hours <br />during the warmest six consecutive months of [he year; <br />2. 73 ° F (22.8 ° C) or higher wet-bulb temperature for 1,500 or more hours <br />during the warmest six consecutive months of the year. <br />
