Volume 1: <br />Mapping the Future <br />Kona Community Development Plan <br />The County of Hawaii General Plan section 15.1 (February 2005, as amended) calls for the preparation of community <br />development plans "to translate the broad General Plan statements to specific actions as they apply to specific <br />geographical areas." The General Plan requires CDPs be adopted as an "ordinance", giving the plans force of law. <br />This is a long term plan with a planning horizon to year 2020, consistent with the General Plan. <br />The plan consists of two volumes—Volume 1 is adopted by County Council; Volume II contains more detailed or <br />technical material for informational purposes.
