Sampling, testing, and contamination monitoring are some <br /> of the tasks associated with proper closure procedures. <br /> <br /> Total costs for planning (environmental assessment), design, and construction is $900,000. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED): <br /> <br /> <br /> EPA and State of Hawaii Department of Health regulations (HAR 11-58.1-33) require <br /> prescribed environmental and health protection procedures to be diligently pursued during <br /> closure, and post-closure periods of a Solid Waste Salvage Facility.
