COUNTY OF HAWAII <br />STATE OF HAWAII <br />RESOLUTION NO. '79.5 ®8 <br />A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br />AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDITING SAME TO <br />A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) <br />WHEREAS, the students from the Waimea Middle School (a Hawaii Charter <br />Conversion School) Leadership organization will attend the 10`h Annual Leadership "l'raining <br />in February 2009 in southern California, allowing them to improve their leadership, decision- <br />making and teamwork skills; and <br />WHEREAS, as this training will involve neighbor states such as California and <br />Nevada, our youth will have the opportunity [o meet other peers and debate together on their <br />ideals and concerns; and <br />WHEREAS, experiencing globally renowned institutions, like the Universities of <br />California, will help enhance the notion of citizenship, leadership and personal responsibility <br />to this already community-oriented organization and help develop these notions amongst the <br />community; and <br />WHEREAS, the Ho`okako`o Corporation (a 501 (c)(3) organization) will act as fiscal <br />sponsors for the Waimea Middle School; and <br />WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 9, in combination with <br />funds from local contributions and fundraisers provided by the Waimea Middle School <br />Leadership organization, will be appropriated to the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney to be <br />used to fund overall costs for 30 chosen Waimea Middle School students to participate in the <br />10~h Annual Leadership Training in Februazy 2009; now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that <br />the following amount is hereby transferred appropriated as set forth below: <br />FUND: <br />3 AMOUNT OF <br />APPROPRIATION <br />OUT AND FROM: <br />General <br />$12,000 <br />010.101.5101.91 Clerk-Council SVC -Contingency Relief $12,000 <br />
