COUNTY OF HAWAII <br />STATE OF HAWAII <br />RESOLUTION NO. 812 08 <br />A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br />AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDITING SAME TO <br />A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) <br />WHEREAS, the Boys and Girls Club of the Big Island serving youth of all ages from <br />its facilities in Hilo, Kea`au, Pahoa, and Pahala has requested funds; and <br />WHEREAS, SMART Moves is a Health and Life Skills core program designed for <br />youth ages 6 through 17 who attend Boys and Girls Club of the Big Island after-school youth <br />development program; and <br />WHEREAS, SMART Moves offer a comprehensive strategy to help young people <br />make wise choices about drugs and sexual involvement and better navigate the challenging <br />journey from childhood to adulthood; and <br />WHEREAS, the Boys and Girls Club of the Big Island provides programs in health & <br />life skills, character & leadership development, arts, education (homework assistance and <br />computer skills), as well as sports, recreation and fitness; and <br />WHEREAS, Contingency Relief from Council District 4 will be appropriated to the <br />Office of the Prosecuting Attorney to be used towazds the Boys and Girls Club of the Big <br />Island SMART Moves program; now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that <br />the following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below: <br />FUND: General <br />AMOUNT OF <br />APPROPRIATION: $10,000 <br />OUT AND FROM: <br />010.101.5101.91 Clerk-Council SVC -Contingency Relief $10,000 <br />CREDITED TO: <br />010.271.5217.02 Office of the Prosecuting Attorney $10,000 <br />Prosecuting Atty OCE <br />(Boys & Girls Club of the Big Island - <br />SMART Moves Program) <br />
