COUNTY OF HAWAII <br />STATE OF HAWAII <br />RESOLUTION NO. 814 08 <br />A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br />AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br />DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) <br />WHEREAS, the Friends of the Children's Justice Center of West Hawaii is anon-profit <br />agency whose mission is to provide assistance to children who have been traumatized by sexual <br />assault, physical abuse or neglect, or who are witnesses to violent crime, to promote prevention <br />of child abuse, and to support the Children's Justice Center of West Hawaii; and <br />WHEREAS, the Friends of the Children's Center of West Hawai`i's staff and volunteers <br />work very closely with Hawaii County government, police, and medical responders in support <br />of abused children; and <br />WHEREAS, the Friends of the Children's Justice Center of West Hawaii has partnered <br />with Hawaii Leadership Academy since 1999 having provided this leadership opportunity to <br />over 160 teen youth; and <br />WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 8 will be appropriated to <br />the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney to provide support to the Friends of the Children's .lustice <br />Center of West Hawaii to support their program for Winners Camp; now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the <br />following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set for the below: <br />FUND: GENERAL: <br />AMOUNT OF <br />APPROPRIATION: $8,000 <br />OUT AND FROM: <br />010.101.5101.91 Clerk-CouncilSVC-Contingency Relief $8,000 <br />CREDITED TO: <br />010.271.5271.14 Office of the Prosecuting Attorney $8,000 <br />Kona Pros Atty OCE, Misc.
