No. 1507Bi11 No. 378 <br />Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 378, reports as follows: <br />Bill No. 378, transmitted by Director of Finance William Takaba, via Communication No. 1507, dated <br />October 6, 2008, amends Ordinance No. 08-78, as amended, the Operating Budget, ending June 30, 2009. <br />The amendment is as follows: <br />From: <br />3308.27 Federal Grants -Sexual Violence General $14,900 <br />Prevention & Planning <br />To: <br />010.271.5271.80 Sexual Violence Prevention & Planning General $14,900 <br />The State of Hawaii Department of Health's Maternal & Child Health Branch is providing an additional <br />funding of $14,900, as part of its Sexual Violence Prevention and Planning Grant to the Office of the <br />Prosecuting Attorney. The Office of the Prosecuting Attorney is being contracted for services relating to the <br />planning and development of an initiative for the primary prevention of sexual violence. The funding will be <br />used to convene a Big Island group of sexual violence prevention stakeholders to provide input to the <br />statewide Sexual Violence Prevention and Planning committee. This appropriation will bring the total grant <br />appropriation to $22,900. <br />Pursuant to Section 46-7, Hawaii Revised Statutes, and Section 13-13(b), Hawaii County Charter, the <br />Mayor is hereby authorized to apply for, receive and expend the funds for the Sexual Assault Multi- <br />Disciplinary Training grant. <br />There was no discussion on this measure. <br />
