(2) A driver, owner, or lessee who owns, operates, cnntrols or <br />dispatches a taxicab may give a discount to handicapped <br />persons, senior citizens, or students. Such discount shall <br />not exceed twenty percent of the meter fare. <br />(3) The driver, owner or lessee of a taxicab may waive the <br />baggage charges prescribed in section 18-52. <br />(d) This section shall not apply when. a taxicab or taxicab company is <br />carrying passengers under aCounty-sponsored public transit <br />program. <br />,(e1 The schedule of fares may be evaluated on an annual basis. no <br />later than June thirty (30) of each year to make a determination of <br />either proposed increase or decrease to the current taxi fares. <br />SECTION 2. Material to be repealed is bracketed and stricken. New <br />material.ig underscored. In printing this ordinance, the brackets, bracketed and <br />stricken material and underscoring need not be included. <br />SECTION 3. If any provision of this ordinance, or the application thereof <br />to any person or circumstance, is held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect <br />other provisions or applications of the ordinance which can be given effect <br />without the invalid .provision or application, and to this end, the provisions of this <br />ordinance are declared to be severable. <br />SECTION 4.
