REPORT OF THE <br /> COMMITTEE ON PLANNING <br /> DATE: January 7, 1997 Re: C-30 <br /> PLACE: Councilroom <br /> TIME: 1:40 p.m. <br /> Chair and Members <br /> Hawaii County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawaii 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Plazming, to which was referred Communication No. 30 dated December 12, <br /> 1996, reports as follows: <br /> The purpose of Communication No. 30 is to recommend the appointment of the following <br /> individual as a member of the Planning Commission: <br /> Mrs. Mildred C. Mosher of Ka'u is nominated to fill the vacancy created by the expired <br /> term of Mr. Edward F,. Crook, for a term ending December 31, 2001. <br /> Ms. Mosher is a retiree and was previously employed with Orchid Isle Properties and C. <br /> Brewer Properties. She is presently a member of the Hawaii County Boazd of Appeals <br /> and will resign should her nomination be confirmed by the Council. <br /> Pursuant to Section 5-4.3 of the Hawaii County Charter, the mayor shall appoint members to the <br /> Planning Commission to be confirmed by the Council, as prescribed in Section 13-4 of the <br /> Hawaii County Charter. <br /> Mrs. Mosher, who is familiar with the sunshine law, will comply with the sunshine law and will <br /> have the time to serve on the Planning Commission. <br /> Your Committee on Planning recommends the approval of the appointment of Mrs. Mildred <br /> C.
