REPORT OF THE <br />COMMITTEE ON PUBLIC WORKS AND <br />INTERGOVERNMENTAL RELATIONS <br />DATE: November 6, 2008 <br />PLACE: Sheraton Keauhou Bay Resort and Spa <br />78-128 Ehukai Street <br />Kailua-Kona, HI 96740 <br />TIME: 11:22 a.m. <br />Council Chair and Members <br />Hawaii County Council <br />Hilo, Hawaii 96720 <br />Re: Comm. No. 1560/Res. 810-08 <br />Your Committee on Public Works and Intergovernmental Relations, to which was referred <br />Communication No. 1560, regarding Resolution 810-08, reports as follows: <br />Resolution 810-08, transmitted by Assistant Corporation Counsel Gerald Takase via <br />Communication No. 1560, dated October 22, 2008, Accepting the Dedication of Road Lot A <br />(Noelani Loop), Being Tax Map Key: (3)2-2-044:119, and a 5-Foot Wide Strip for Kahaopea <br />Street Widening, Situate at Waiakea, District of South Hilo, County and State of Hawaii, from <br />Hilolani Enterprises, LLC. <br />Hilolani Enterprises is desirous of dedicating Road Lot A (Noelani Loop), including all <br />subdivision improvements thereon, and the 5-foot wide strip for public road widening and <br />drainage purposes. The subject road and drainage improvement is in accordance with Article <br />XIII, § 13-12 of the Hawaii County Charter, and Section 23-10 of the Hawaii County Code. <br />There was no testimony from the public regarding the proposed acceptance. <br />Assistant Corporation Counsel Gerald Takase was unavailable to attend this committee meeting. <br />Committee Chair Brenda J. Ford commented that Mr. Takase confirmed that the subject road and <br />drainage improvements are in full compliance with Hawaii County Code. Furthermore, <br />Ms. Ford provided a map delineating subject parcel via Communication 1560.1 and its tlood <br />zone designation. <br />PWIRC RPT NO. 102 <br />
