No. 349-98, reports as follows: <br /> Res. No. 349-98, transmitted by Finance Director Harry A. Takahashi, dated October 23, 1998, via <br /> Communication No. 1057, authorizes the Mayor to enter into an agreement for non-bid purchase of goods <br /> and services with DBEDT. <br /> The State of Hawaii, Department of Business Economic Development and Tourism, has granted an <br /> additional $2,000 to the County of Hawaii, Depaztment of Reseazch and Development, for its Energy <br /> Coordinator Program. <br /> Pursuant to Section 46-7, Hawaii Revised Statutes, County departments must obtain the consent of the <br /> Council to enter into agreements with the Federal or State governments respecting action to be taken <br /> pursuant to any of the powers granted by law to furnish, expend, and receive any of the funds or other <br /> assistance in connection with projects being or to be undertaken pursuant to these powers. <br /> Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Res.
