COUNTY OF HAWAII <br />STATE OF HAWAII <br />RESOLUTION NO. 23 09 <br />A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT AND <br />FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br />DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S). <br />WHEREAS, the YWCA of Hawaii Island provides services to meet community needs, <br />drawing together people with diverse experiences and relationships so that they may join together in <br />efforts to attain peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all people; and <br />WHEREAS, the YWCA of Hawaii Island first organized in Hilo in 1919 when a group of 14 <br />courageous women recognized the need for a women's organization and for programs geared primazily <br />towards women and girls, and was established as a 501 (c)(a)non-profit organization in 1965; and <br />WHEREAS, the YWCA of Hawaii Island provides programs such as Healthy Start Program, <br />Hawaii Island Teen Court, Ekahi Program of the YWCA Hamakua, School-Age Childcare and <br />Recreation Program, Health and Fitness Programs, and Empowering Alternative Programs; and <br />WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 1 will be appropriated to the <br />Office of the Prosecuting Attorney for the YWCA of Hawaii Island Hamakua Youth Center; now, <br />therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII, that the <br />following amount is hereby transferred appropriated asset forth below: <br />FUND: <br />AMOUNT OF <br />APPROPRIATION: <br />OUT AND FROM: <br />010.101.5101.91 <br />CREDITED TO: <br />010.271.5271.02 <br />GENERAL <br />$25,000 <br />Clerk-Council SVC -Contingency Relief $25,000 <br />Office of the Prosecuting Attorney $25,000 <br />Prosecuting Atty OCE <br />(YWCA of Hawaii Island Hamakua Youth Center) <br />
