No. 316-98 <br /> <br /> PLACE: Councilroom <br /> <br /> TIME: 11:45 A.M. <br /> <br /> Chair and Members <br /> Hawaii County Council <br /> <br /> Hilo, Hawaii 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 316-98, reports as follows: <br /> Resolution No. 316-98, transmitted by Deputy Parks and Recreation Director Juliette Tulang, dated <br /> <br /> August 28, 1998, via Communicafion No. 963, authorizes the Mayor to enter into an agreement with the <br /> State Department of Transportation for bicycle safety education services. <br /> Pursuant to Section 46-7, Hawaii Revised Statutes, County departments must obtain the consent of the <br /> Council to enter into agreements with the Federal or State governments respecting action to be taken <br /> pursuant to any of the powers granted by law to famish, expend, and receive any funds or other assistance <br /> in connection with projects being or to be undertaken pursuant to those powers. <br /> The Mayor is hereby authorized and designated to sign in the name of the County the State Department of <br /> Transportation Bicycle Safety Education agreement on behalf of the Department of Parks and Recreation. <br /> Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 316-98 and <br /> recommends its adoption. <br /> Ici <br /> Aya Neo AhE EX <br /> Respectfully submitted <br /> CHUNG $ <br /> LEITHEAD-TODD g COMMITTEE ON FINANCE <br /> RAV g <br /> SANTANCELO <br /> sMrrtt X AARON S.Y.
