No. 263-98 <br /> PLACE: Councilroom <br /> TIME: 10:45 A.M. <br /> Chair and Members <br /> Hawaii County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawaii 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 263-98, reports as follows: <br /> Resolution No. 263-98, transmitted by Council Member John Ray, via Communication No. 818, <br /> dated Apri123, 1998, authorizes the acceptance of a donation from Dr. and Mrs. Billy Bergin. <br /> Dr. and Mrs. Billy Bergin has graciously donated five bleachers to be housed and maintained at <br /> the Waimea soccer field for County use and for use for future Old Hawaii on Horseback <br /> pageants. The retail value of the five bleachers is seven thousand five hundred dollars. ($7,500). <br /> Pursuant to Article XIII, Section 13-12, Hawaii County Charter, the Council, on behalf of t11e <br /> County, may accept gifts of donations or personal property. <br /> Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 263-98 <br /> <br /> and recommends its adoption. Your Committee also recommends that a letter of appreciation be <br /> sent to Dr. and Mrs. Billy Bergin, at 62-2279 B.
