No. 261-98 <br /> PLACE: Councilroom <br /> TIME: 10:45 A.M. <br /> Chair and Members <br /> Hawaii County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawaii 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 261-98, reports as follows: <br /> Resolution No. 261-98, transmitted by Corporation Counsel Richazd Wurdeman, via <br /> Communication No. 815, dated Apri121, 1998, authorizes the Corporation Counsel, and his <br /> authorizes representatives, to enter into an agreement with the individually named defendants <br /> who are Police Officers employed by the County of Hawaii, to represent them in the civil action <br /> entitled Gisela Kramer-Coleman vs. Detective Sergeant Darrell Huston and Officer Marshal <br /> Kanehailua, Civil No. 98-00028DAE. <br /> Furthermore, this measure authorizes the Corporation Counsel and his authorized representatives <br /> to enter into an agreement with the individually named defendants whereby the County will <br /> indemnify said parties for all damages that may be assessed in this action, including punitive <br /> damages, for the purpose of allowing the Offfice of the Corporation Counsel to present the above <br /> named employees who aze defendants in the instant action. <br /> Resolution No. 261-98 authorizes the Mayor of the County of Hawaii to sign the agreement <br /> entered into by the Corporation Counsel with the named party on behalf of the County of <br /> Hawaii. <br /> Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 261-98 <br /> <br /> and recommends its adoption. <br /> <br /> Ikc <br /> Wyss Noee nee Ex Respectfully submitted <br /> CHUNG X <br /> LEITHEAD-TODD x COMMITTEE ON FINANCE <br /> RAV X <br /> SANTANGELO X <br /> SMITH X - <br /> TYLEB x AARON S. .CHUNG, CHAIR <br /> YAGONG X FC REPORT O. 241' <br /> ARAKAKI,E.O.M. ~~~-Ep:~:~tIN 0 1 1998 <br /> <br />
