COUNTY OF HAWAII RESOLUTION NO. STATE OF HAWAII 40 09 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DONATION OF A FORD F-350, MODEL X-37, 4X4, SUPER DUTY, SUPER CAB, DIESEL, BRUSH FIRE TRUCK FROM THE DANIEL SAYRE MEMORIAL FOUNDATION TO THE HAWAII F[RE DEPARTMENT WHEREAS, the Daniel Sayre Memorial Foundation ("Sayre Foundation") recognizes the need for improved fire services for the Kailua-Kona community, and wishes to assist the Hawaii Fire Department ("Fire Department") in providing such services to this area; and WHEREAS, the Sayre Foundation, by way of a donation from the Ironman Foundation, accepted service of and is now donating a new Ford F-350, Model X-37, 4X4, Super Duty, Super Cab, Diesel, Brush Fire Truck, with a total estimated value of $38,650.00; and WHEREAS, the Association desires to donate the fire equipment vehicle to the Fire Department, to be assigned to the Kalaoa Volunteer Fire Station, 7-Bravo, in order to provide additional fire fighting capabilities to the Kailua-Kona geographic region; and WHEREAS, the Fire Department recommends the acceptance of this donation; and WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter provides that the Council, on behalf of the County, may accept gifts or donations of personal property. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that in accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter, the Council of the County of Hawaii accepts the donation of a Ford F-350, Model X-37, 4X4, Super Duty, Super Cab, Diesel, Brush Fire Truck from the Daniel Sayre Memorial Foundation.
