No. 28/Bill No. 6 <br />Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 6, reports as follows: <br />Bill No. 6, transmitted by Finance Director Nancy Crawford, via Communication No. 28, dated <br />December 2, 2008, amends Ordinance No. 08-78, as amended, [he Operating Budget, ending <br />June 30, 2009. The amendment is as follows: <br />From: <br />3609.10 Fund Balance From Previous Year Geothermal Reloc. & Comm. Benefits $23,014 <br />To: <br />095.500.5556.10 Geothermal Parks and Recreation, Equipment Geothermal Reloc. & Comm. Benefits $23,014 <br />Total $23,014 <br />The Geothermal Relocation and Community Benefits Fund Program was established for the relocation of <br />owner-occupants residing near the Puna Geothermal Venture's plant and who want to be permanently <br />relocated, and to fund expenditures for the benefit of Lower Pmta; including but not limited to, road <br />improvements, water infrastructure development, land acquisition, parks and recreational facility needs, <br />civil defense mass transit improvements. <br />Couucilmember Emily Naeole has requested that $23,014 be used to purchase durable, plastic lockers and <br />benches for the men's and women's locker rooms at the Pahoa Community Aquatic Center.
