No. 772Bi11 No. 214 <br /> PLACE: Councilroom <br /> TIME: 10:45 A.M. <br /> Chair and Members <br /> Hawaii County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawaii 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 214, reports as follows: <br /> Bill No. 214, transmitted by Finance Director Hazry Takahashi, via Communication No. 772, <br /> dated Mazch 17, 1998, amends Ordinance No. 97-82, the Capital Budget, as amended, by adding <br /> the Waikoloa Road Shoulder Improvements, Mamalahoa Highway to Paniolo Avenue at various <br /> locations. <br /> PUBLIC WORKS <br /> Waikoloa Road Shoulder Improvement-Federal $1,000,000 <br /> (110-399-5394.19-115) <br /> Waikoloa Road Shoulder Improvement-County $250,000 <br /> (110-399-5394.20-115) <br /> Funds for these projects shall be provided from: <br /> Federal Grants Receivable $1,000,000 <br /> General Obligation Bonds, Capital Projects Fund- $250,000 <br /> Fund Balance and/or other sources <br /> According to Chief Engineer Donna Kiyosaki, after reviewing the original PS&E (Plans, <br /> Specifications, and Estimates) package the State Department of Transportation found it <br /> necessary to increase the shoulder width from six (6) to eight (8) feet.
