No. 231 <br /> <br /> PLACE: Councilroom <br /> TIME: 11:00 A.M. <br /> Chair and Members <br /> Hawaii County Council <br /> <br /> Hilo, Hawaii 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 231, reports as follows: <br /> Resolution No. 231, transmitted by Police Chief Wayne Carvalho, via Communication No. 722, <br /> dated February 11, 1998, authorizes the acceptance of bicycle equipment from the Rotary Club <br /> of Kona. <br /> The Rotary Club of Kona has graciously donated two backracks, two rack trunks, two taillights, <br /> two sensors, two mini pumps, two water bottles with cages, two halogen headlights, three vapor <br /> helmets, and three "Police" decals to the Hawaii County Police Department for use by the West <br /> Hawaii Community Policing Program. The aforementioned bike equipment is collectively <br /> valued at $279.40. <br /> Pursuant to Article XIII, Section 13-12, Hawaii County Charter, the Council, on behalf of the <br /> County, may accept gifts of donations or personal property. <br /> Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 231 and <br /> recommends its adoption.
