<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />STATE OF HAWAII <br /> <br />~ki... <br /> <br />" ~ . . <br /> <br />COUNTY OF HAWAII <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br /> <br />15 <br /> <br />97 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII TO ENTER INTO AN <br />AGREEMENT WITH THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, PURSUANT TO HRS 46-7, FOR A <br />HAWAII MOBILE VENDOR RECORDER GRANT. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the United States of America through the State Department of <br />Transportation Motor Vehicle Safety Office, is desirous of providing funding <br />for expenses to purchase four (4) mobile video recorders; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Hawaii County Police Department is ready and willing to <br />proceed with its obligations under the. Mobile Video Recorder Grant; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Sections 46-7 of the Hawaii Revised Statutes, the <br />Federal government may enter into agreements with the Council of the County of <br />Hawaii providing the expenditures or receipt of funds or for other assistance. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII, <br />that the Mayor of the County of Hawaii is hereby authorized and designated to <br />sign in the name of the County Project Number 97-J7(03-H-01), which will <br />effectuate these purposes. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Clerk of the County .of Hawaii transmit <br />copies of this resolution to the Honorable Stephen K.
