. COUNTY OF HAWAII -- .- STATE OF HAWAII RESOLUTION NO. 2 ~ 97 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATION AND USE OF PRIOR YEAR FUNDS RESULTING FROM THE CANCELLATION OF. A PURCHASE ORDER OR CONTRACT. WHEREAS, in the fiscal year ended June 30 1996, the sum of $57,824.77 was encumbered in account number 085-601-5604.06-456; and the sum of $57,824.77 was encumbered in account number 020-301-5301.06-456, from funds duly appropriated in that fiscal year; and WHEREAS, in the current fiscal year, contract number 96315, under IFB 1633, was cancelled due to a protest of the bid process, resulting in tne formerly-encumbered funds appearing in the unexpended allotment balance of the current year's Dudget status; and WHEREAS, these funds are still needed for the purpose of the original appropriation. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the following amounts that appear in the unencumbered balance of the accounts below be and are hereby appropriated as set forth below: FUND ACCOUNT NO. AMOUNT SOLID WASTE 085-601-5604.06-456 $57,824.77 HIGHWAY 020-301-5301.06-456 57,824.77 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Clerk be and is hereby directed and instructed to forward a copy of this resolution to the Director of Finance and that the Director of Finance be and is hereby authorized to allow the expenditure of these funds in accordance with the terms of this resolution.
