<br />t____ --_e <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />COUNTY OF HAWAII <br /> <br />STATE OF HAWAII <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO.---4.1.--9..1- <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING LEASE PURCHASE FOR EIGHT (8) VEHICLES FOR THE <br />DEPARTMENT OF PARKS & RECREATION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 10-11 of the County Charter requires that any <br /> <br />contract, lease, or other obligation requiring payment of funds from <br /> <br />the appropriations of a later fiscal year or more than one fiscal <br />year be approved by resolution; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Building Custodian I positions in the Recreation <br />Division of the Department of Parks & Recreation have been <br /> <br />reallocated to Park Caretaker I positions and moved- to the Parks <br /> <br />Maintenance Division; and. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, as the park caretakers must maintain more than a single <br />park, vehicles must be provided to transport personnel, materials <br /> <br />and supplies from park to park; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a new Pool Pump Mechanic/Electrician position has been <br /> <br />approved to service the island-wide pool needs and requires a motor <br /> <br />vehicle; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Tractor Mower Operator based at the North Hilo <br /> <br />baseyard, presently being dropped off and picked up, is in need of a <br />vehicle in order to transport the tractor mower; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the vehicle presently assigned to the administration <br /> <br />office is unreliable and in need of replacement; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the County wishes to enter into a five (5) year <br />contract to lease with purchase options for eight (8) vehicles for <br /> <br />parkS purposes. <br />
