STATE OF HAWAII <br />RESOLU1ION <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DONATION OF REAL <br />PROPERTY FROM RAMONA MEW LANG CHOW ROPEK and ALICE A. SMITH; TAX <br />MAP KEY NUMBER (3)2-2-41-121 (POR.). <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Ramona Mew Lang Chow Ropek and Alice A. Smith are <br />the owners of real property in Hilo, Hawaii, specifically Tax Map <br />Key No. (3)2-2-41:121 (por.), which contains 134 square feet; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, that portion of their property is presently being <br />encroached upon as a turning radius for the intersection of <br />Kahaopea Street and Kanoelehua Avenue; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, they have graciously donated this portion of their <br />property to the County of Hawaii; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawaii County <br />Charter provides that the Council, on behalf of the County of <br />Hawaii, may accept gifts or donations of real property. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY <br />OF HAWAII, that in accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12 of <br />the Hawaii County Charter, the County of Hawaii accepts the <br />donation of real property, identified as Tax Map Key <br />Number (3)2-2-41:121 (portion), consisting of 134 square feet, <br />from Ramona Mew Lang Chow Ropek and Alice A. Smith. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a letter of appreciation be sent <br />to Ramona Mew Lang Chow Ropek and Alice A.
