No. 649 <br /> PLACE: Councilroom <br /> TIME: 11:00 AM. <br /> Chair and Members <br /> Hawaii County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawaii 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Communication No. 649, reports as follows: <br /> Communication No. 649, transmitted by the Hawaii State Association of Counties (HSAC) <br /> Secretary-Treasurer Al Smith, dated December 22, 1997, submits highlights of the Executive <br /> Committee meeting and requests the support of the National Association of Counties (NACo) <br /> Statement of Values. <br /> The National Association of Counties has adopted a statement of values to guide NACo's efforts <br /> in helping counties define and secure their community vision. The statement of values <br /> recognizes that economic opportunity, environmental integrity, and societal equity aze the <br /> foundation upon which counties can build a better quality of life.
