<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />......-.-.. ~-4 - <br /> <br />COUNTY OF HAWAII <br /> <br />STATE OF HAWAII <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 8 4 97 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION INCREASING TIME ELEMENT OF RECREATION TECHNICIAN II 2/5T <br />AND CREATING TWO (2) RECREATION TECHNICIAN II 2/5T POSITIONS FOR <br />KONA GYM. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, with the increased use of the Kona Gym and the <br /> <br />Administration's request to open on the weekends, the need to have <br /> <br />additional staffing and additional hours is crucial; and <br />WHEREAS, unlike other gyms, the Kona Sports Complex will house <br /> <br />additional ballfields, a roller-hockey arena, and a soccer/football <br /> <br />combination field; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the community has requested that the operational hours <br /> <br />for the complex be extended for morning, evening, and weekend use; <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, current staffing of one (1) full-time and one (1) 2/5 <br /> <br />time (16 hours) is inadequate to handle the man-hours needed to <br /> <br />address the schedule; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, by increasing the time element of the Recreation <br /> <br />Technician II 2/5T, Position No. 3142, to Recreation Technician II <br /> <br />3/4T and by creating two (2) Recreation Technician II 2/5T, the Kona <br /> <br />Complex will have adequate staff coverage seven (7) days a week; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, there are sufficient funds in the regular salaries and <br />wages account of the Department of Parks & Recreation, Recreation <br /> <br />Division, to cover the cost of the additional time element and the <br /> <br />two (2) additional Recreation Technician II 2/5T positions. <br />
