<br />.... .... <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />.. ,IL 6 <br /> <br />COUNTY OF HAWAII <br /> <br />STATE OF HAWAII <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br /> <br />96 97 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE COUNTY OF HAWAII TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE <br />UNITED STATES OF AMERICA THROUGH THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION, PURSUANT TO HRS <br />46-7, D.A.R.E/DOE GRANT. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the United States of America through the State Department of <br />Education, is desirous of providing funding for expenses to train the DARE officers, <br />provide a DARE Summer Leadership camp for students and supplies for the Parent <br />program; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Hawaii County Police Department is ready and willing to proceed <br />with its obligations under the D.A.R.E./DOE Grant; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Sections 46-7 of the Hawaii Revised Statutes, the <br />Federal government may enter into agreements with the Council of the County of Hawaii <br />providing the expenditures or receipt of funds or for other assistance; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that <br />the Honorable Stephen K.
