No. 627 <br /> PLACE: Councilroom <br /> TIME: 11:00 A.M. <br /> Chair and Members <br /> Hawaii County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawaii 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Communication No. 627, reports as follows: <br /> Communication No. 627, transmitted by Mayor Stephen K. Yamashiro, dated December 10, 1997, <br /> nominates Mr. Wilfred M. Okabe, of Council District 3, to the Hawaii County Police Commission. <br /> A life time resident of Hawaii, Mr. Okabe will replace Mr. Donald E. Abdul whose term will expire <br /> on December 31, 1997. Mr. Okabe has been a teacher with the State Department of Education <br /> since 1984. He is also a member of the East Hawaii Coalition for the Homeless, the Dream Come <br /> True Committee, and the Hawaii State Teachers Association.
