BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council urges the State Department of Land and Natural Resources to work with hunters, community members, interested organizations, and agencies to develop a game management plan which will protect our natural watersheds, native forests and endangered species while still perpetuating traditional hunting practices. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council requests the Legislature of the State of Hawai'i and the Department of Land and Natural Resources take the appropriate steps to enact legislation and implement appropriate rules that respect and preserve the cultural traditions of subsistence hunters.
