<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />~. .... ,,:~~ <br /> <br />COUNTY OF HAWAII <br /> <br />STATE OF HAWAII <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br /> <br />130 97 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AMENDING DISTRICT DISTRIBUTION FORMULA OF THE <br />FUEL TAX EXPENDITURE PLAN <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Resolution 397-88, adopted by the Hawaii County <br />Council on March 15, 1988, provided an additional 3.8 cents per gallon <br />increase in the County fuel tax rate; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Resolution 351-91, adopted by the Hawaii County <br />Council on August 7, 1991, provided that the district distribution <br />formula be updated biennially; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Resolution 128-93, adopted by the Hawaii County <br />Council on December 1, 1993, amended the district formula effective <br />July 1, 1994; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in keeping with the intent of the periodic update of the <br />distribution formula, the Department of Public Works has done the <br />necessary fact finding. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE <br />COUNTY OF HAWAII that the district distribution formula as delineated in <br />Resolution 128-93 is hereby amended as follows: <br />% Vehicle <br />Weight Tax <br /> <br />District <br /> <br />% Road Miles <br /> <br />New District <br />Apportionment <br /> <br />Puna 19.71 14.05 16.88 <br />South Hilo 33.61 37.53 35.57 <br />North Hilo 3.44 1.02 2.23 <br />Hamakua 7.99 3.76 5.88 <br />North Kohala 2.90 3.01 2.95 <br />South Kohala 8.15 8.87 8.51 <br />North Kona 13.80 20.76 17.28 <br />South Kona 4.39 6.69 5.54 <br />Ka'u 6.01 4.31 5.16 <br />Total 100.00 100.00 100.00 <br />
