<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />.- <br /> <br />COUNTY OF HAWAII <br /> <br />STATE OF HAWAII <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br /> <br />135 97 <br /> <br />(DRAFl' 2) <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING APPROXIMATELY 1.51 ACRES (65,776 SQUARE FEET) <br />OF LAND AND A TURN-KEY FIRE STATION AT KEAUHOU 1 AND 2, NORTH <br />KONA, HAW All, FROM KAMEHAMEHA INVESTMENT CORPORATION. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, KAMEHAMEHA INVESTMENT CORPORATION is the owner of <br /> <br />approximately 1.51 acres (65,776 square feet) of land and a completed turn-key fire station <br /> <br />building and related facilities at Keauhou 1 and 2, North Kona, Hawaii, at TMK (3) 7-8-07:53 <br /> <br />("Subject Property"); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, KAMEHAMEHA INVESTMENT CORPORATION and the County of <br /> <br />Hawaii have entered into an Agreement dated June 18, 1996, to sell the Subject Property to the <br /> <br />County of Hawaii for use as the Keauhou Fire Station; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on January 4, 1996 KAMEHAMEHA INVESTMENT CORPORATION <br /> <br />was granted Special Permit No. 918 for the construction and use of the Subject Property for a fire <br /> <br />station as an "unusual and reasonable" use of land within the State Agricultural District pursuant <br /> <br />to Hawaii Revised Statutes Section 205-6; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the operation of the Keauhou Fire Station at the Subject Property by the <br /> <br />County of Hawaii will yield considerable savings on fire insurance premiums for the residents <br /> <br />of the Keauhou area; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the County Council has provided funding for purchase of the Subject <br /> <br />Property by ordinance; and <br />
