<br />-;:::~--=--~.. -- <br /> <br />. . <br /> <br />COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 144 97 <br />(Draft 2) <br /> <br />RESOLUTION CHANGING CLERK-TYPIST FROM TEMPORARY <br />TO PERMANENT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Resolution 322-91 created Position No. 3648, Clerk- <br />Typist Temporary in the Department of Research and Development <br />due to special projects; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this position provides clerical support to the Film <br />Promotion Program funded by the State, including maintaining files, <br />inventory of materials, etc.; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, with the volumes of contracts and changes to the <br />procurement law, including Konno decision, the workload of the <br />existing clerical staff and program specialists has been overwhelming; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this position has been funded every year since its <br />creation; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, with the diverse programs of the department, the <br />clerical support is essential to facilitate major projects; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the productivity of the department would increase <br />since the retraining of new personnel would be eliminated if this <br />position is changed from a temporary to a permanent one; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, funds are available in the Regular Salaries and Wages <br />Account of the Department of Research and Development. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE <br />COUNTY OF HAWAII that Position No. 3648, Clerk-Typist Temporary, <br />SR-08, be changed to [full time] permanent. <br />
