<br />.. <br /> <br />.. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />COUNTY OF HAWAII <br /> <br />STATE OF HAWAII <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO.~ <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION AMENDING THE SALARY ORDINANCE NO. 97-80, BY ADJUSTING <br />THE NUMBER OF STEPS IN THE PAY GRADE OF LA-III. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 46-32, Hawaii Revised Statutes, relating to Employees of the <br /> <br />Council, authorizes the Council of any county to appoint and employ personnel as it deems <br /> <br />necessary and to prescribe their powers, duties and compensation; and <br /> <br />. ',. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 3-13, Hawaii County Charter, provides for interim amendments to <br />the Salary Ordinance to be made by resolution; and <br />WHEREAS, the existing pay grade for LA-III is as follows: <br /> <br />B C <br />LA-III 33,780 35,472 <br /> <br />D <br />37,248 <br /> <br />E F G H <br /> <br />39,120 41,088 43,152 45,312 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Fiscal/Program Review Auditor is compensated at the LA-III rate; and <br />WHEREAS, the position of Fiscal/Program Review Auditor carries duties, <br />responsibilities and a level of expertise that should be justly compensated beginning at a higher <br />tate of pay. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY <br />OF HAW Ail that Section 3 of Ordinance No. [96-64] 21:.8Q relating to positions of <br />the Office of the County Council is amended as follows: <br /> <br />I;e",\ <br /> <br />LA-III <br /> <br />[B] [C] [D] <br />[33,780] [35,472] [37,248] <br /> <br />[E] A <br />39,120 <br /> <br />[F] B.
