<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Community Service Employment Program to provide part-time community services <br /> <br />employment for older workers; and <br /> <br /> <br />WHEREAS, funding is available for this agreement pursuant to the Omnibus <br /> <br />Consolidated Appropriations Act of 1996, P.L. 104-208 and Act 328 ofthe Session Laws <br /> <br />of Hawaii Regular Session of 1997, in the amount of$277,165.00; and <br /> <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 46-8, Hawaii Revised Statutes, as amended, the <br /> <br /> <br />Governor of the State of Hawaii may enter into agreements with the Council of the <br /> <br />County of Hawaii providing for the co-sponsorship and joint development and <br /> <br />maintenance of programs and projects which have been authorized by the legislature. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOL YED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE <br />COUNTY OF HAWAII, that the Council Chairperson, is hereby authorized and <br />designated to sign in the name of the Council of the County of Hawaii Agreement <br />No. D-6089-7-00-81-55-H, LBR 111-003, to implement the Senior Community Service <br />Employment Program to provide part-time community services employment for older <br />workers. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOL YED that the Mayor of the County of Hawaii is <br /> <br /> <br />authorized to sign the above-noted agreement and any related documents on behalf of the <br /> <br />County of Hawaii pursuant to the Hawaii County Charter. <br /> <br />-2- <br />
