No. 521Bi11 No. 147 <br /> PLACE: Councilroom <br /> TIME: 10:35 A.M. <br /> Chair and Members <br /> <br /> Hawaii County Council <br /> <br /> Hilo, Hawaii 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 147, reports as follows: <br /> <br /> Bill No. 147, transmitted by Council Chair James Arakaki, via Communication No. 521, dated <br /> September 18, 1997, amends Chapter 2 of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (1995 Edition) by <br /> adding a new article relating to the Legislative Branch and its ability to contract for services. <br /> <br /> Bill No. 147 proposes to authorize the Council Chair, rather than the Mayor, to execute contracts <br /> <br /> on behalf of the Council and the Office of the County Clerk.
