<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />COUNTY OF HAWAII <br /> <br />STATE OF HAWAII <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br /> <br />183 97 <br /> <br />NAMING OF STREETS IN THE COUNTY OF HA WAIl, STATE OF HAWAII <br /> <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Council of the County of Hawaii is authorized to adopt street names for <br /> <br /> <br />unnamed roadways in the County of Hawaii pursuant to Section 22-35, Article 2, Chapter 22, <br /> <br />Hawaii County Code; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission at its regular meeting of October 24, 1997, <br /> <br /> <br />approved the names for certain unnamed roadways in Villages of La'i'opua, Phase 1, Kealakehe, <br /> <br /> <br />North Kona, Hawaii; and <br /> <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawaii, <br /> <br /> <br />names the roadways of the Subdivision known as Villages of La'i'opua, Phase 1, Kealakehe, <br /> <br /> <br />North Kona, Hawaii in accordance with the attached map identified as Exhibit A as follows:. <br /> <br />"Ane Keohokalole Highway" in honor of Ane Keohokalole, mother of Queen <br /> <br /> <br />Liliuokalani and King Kalakaua and the <br /> <br /> <br />grandmother of Princess Kaiulani, the original <br /> <br /> <br />grantee of the ahupua'a of Keahuolu, where the <br /> <br /> <br />roadway will begin. <br /> <br />meaning "hill of searching or seeking" as well as <br /> <br />"Puohulihuli Street" <br /> <br />being the name of a peak located between the <br /> <br />Kealakehe and Keahulolu ahupua'a. <br />
